HOW TO  CLEAN  WINDOWS.

Outdoor Window Cleaning

Cleaning windows seems like such an easy task, and it is. There are some tricks though that will allow anyone to get professional results quickly and easily.

You probably already know that you get what you pay for. That goes the same for window cleaning or washing equipment.  You should purchase a quality squeegee. Don't cheap out on a dollar store one. A professional quality one should run you about ten dollars and is worth its weight in gold.

You will also need a bucket and a sponge. Preferably you want a sponge with a mildly aggressive white scrub pad on one side.

Lastly, you need to get some white cotton towels or rags. The more the better.

Find a Maid Service

Pick a cool day to clean your windows. If its too hot, the windows will dry too quickly and streak.

Fill your bucket with warm water and add a few tablespoons of ammonia. Now wet your sponge and wipe the window. Use the scrubbing side to clean caked on surfaces.

Use your rags to dry a small strip across the top of the window. Now take your squeegee and beginning on the dry strip, pull it down the window. Always start your squeegee on a dry spot. Wipe the squeegee dry with a rag between each stroke.

Lastly, take a rag and wipe down the edges of your window to remove any traces of moisture. That's all there is to it. You now have a professionally cleaned window. Just repeat this process on the remaining windows. You'll be amazed at how quickly you can clean a window after you have done a few.
