OUTDOOR  FIREPLACE.

Adding an outdoor fireplace can liven up any outdoor space. If you enjoy backyard entertaining, you will probably love an outdoor fireplace. There is nothing like relaxing out by a fire on a cool summer or even winter night.

You have many options when picking an outdoor fireplace. You can simply purchase a chimnea or a portable fire pit. You could also have an outdoor fireplace built custom or can buy a do it yourself kit from a store such as the Home Depot.

Find a Chimney Contractor

Chimnea

This is one of the cheaper options. Chimneas can be made either of clay or cast iron. The cast iron versions will be more durable as the clay chimneas can crack with hard use. The Chimnea is originally from Mexico and is a wood burning fireplace.

Portable Fire Pits

A portable firepit is just that, a portable metal fireplace. It will usually be made of steel and will typically have a metal screen over it to catch burning embers and sparks.

Custom Fireplace

A custom outdoor fireplace is the most expensive option. It is essentially just like your indoor fireplace. This is a project best left to a professional contractor unless you have extensive home improvement experience. You can however usually find a kit available at your local home improvement store.
